Werwulf: Robert Eggers Revisits the Werewolf Legend
Robert Eggers, the acclaimed filmmaker behind The Witch, The Lighthouse, and Nosferatu, takes on a new mythological creature with "Werwulf", scheduled for release in 2026.
The film is set in 13th century England, where a cursed farmer (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) seeks redemption while a mysterious beast spreads terror through the misty countryside. The cast reunites several of the director's frequent collaborators: Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, and Ralph Ineson, all of whom appeared in Nosferatu.
