David Black Designs the Scenography for Charlotte Cardin's First Bercy Concert

For Charlotte Cardin's first concert at Accor Arena (Bercy), artistic director David Black, known for his work with Daft Punk and Dua Lipa, imagined a minimalist and cinematic scenography.

Inspired by the French New Wave, electro concerts, and theater, his staging plays with shadows and light. At the heart of the setup: a modular screen that can become a ceiling or a visual support, and a small "island" stage in the middle of the crowd for an intimate moment.

"I wanted something very minimalist, the opposite of pop maximalism," Charlotte Cardin told Vogue France. "David immediately understood the essence of my project." A successful gamble in front of 20,000 spectators.
