Apple TV+ launches Carême, Martin Bourboulon's New Series

Carême, directed by Martin Bourboulon, is now streaming on Apple TV+.

Starring Benjamin Voisin, Jérémie Renier, and Lyna Khoudri, the series follows the rise of Antonin Carême, the first celebrity chef, in 19th-century Paris, where cuisine and politics often intersect. The first two episodes were released on April 30, with new episodes available weekly until June 11.

This is Martin Bourboulon’s first television series, following his work on Eiffel and the two-part adaptation of The Three Musketeers. Known for combining historical subjects with accessible storytelling, Bourboulon brings his cinematic approach to the format, focusing on detailed historical reconstruction and strong visual direction. In Carême, he explores the world of diplomacy, espionage, and gastronomy with the same ambition that marked his previous films.
